From Childhood Dreams to AI Leadership
A story of curiosity, resilience, and relentless pursuit of clarity in the age of AI
Where It All Began
Long before AI became a buzzword, I was fascinated by technology as a force for transformation. At just 12 years old, I dreamed of becoming part of the Apple team; inspired by how technology could change everyday life through creativity, design, and engineering. I didn't yet have the vocabulary for it, but I was already drawn to the idea of building the future.
Telecommunications Engineering
That curiosity led me to study Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Seville, a degree internationally recognised for its academic rigor. It was there where I developed not only a strong technical foundation, but also resilience, discipline, problem-solving skills, and the ability to think under pressure; skills that later became essential in leading complex AI initiatives.
The Turning Point
During my studies I had to choose a specialisation. While my mother and I were watching short presentations from different departments (Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Image & Sound), one module stood out immediately: Computer Vision. It was unfamiliar, intriguing, and clearly part of something much bigger: Artificial Intelligence. That was the moment I knew I had to choose that path. As AI was the next revolution.
Unleashed Passion
My passion for AI deepened during my final University year abroad at Swansea University, where I was exposed to Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision transforming my understanding of what intelligent systems could achieve. I fell in love with the field instantly. AI became more than a technical interest; it became the focus of my professional purpose.
From ML Engineer to AI Leader
After a distinction with honours dissertation on real-time object detection using the most advanced Computer Vision techniques, I embarked on my journey as a Graduate ML Engineer at WTW. As my career progressed, I moved from building ML models to leading AI initiatives, working across teams, stakeholders, and industries. I experienced firsthand what it truly takes to move AI from experimentation to production-ready, enterprise-grade solutions.
Where I Am Today
I lead the development of advanced AI solutions, including multi-agent systems designed for real-world, enterprise deployment. My role sits at the intersection of engineering, strategy, and governance, collaborating with security, QA, and business leaders to establish robust standards for evaluation, risk, and responsible AI adoption. I also guide the design of new AI initiatives across multiple business lines, helping teams translate ideas into scalable solutions, while advocating for the effective use of AI engineering tools and promoting AI literacy across the organization.
Sharing the Journey
AI is shaping the future faster than most people realize, and with that pace comes noise, myths, and uncertainty. I aim to bring clarity, honesty, and practical insight to the conversation, so leaders, teams, and future generations can approach AI with confidence rather than confusion. What drives me is the opportunity to help others see what’s possible, think more critically, and make informed decisions. If my experiences can illuminate the path for someone else, then sharing them is necessary.
What Drives Me
The principles that guide my work and leadership
Clarity Over Hype
AI doesn't need exaggeration to be powerful. I believe in explaining complex systems with honesty, precision, and transparency so leaders can make confident decisions grounded in reality; not headlines.
Strategy Before Technology
The most successful AI initiatives begin with clear intent, defined outcomes, and a strong understanding of the problem worth solving.
Human-Centered Innovation
AI should enhance human capability, not replace it. The strongest solutions are those that elevate judgment, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking; the very qualities that make us human.
Truth Builds Trust
Trust in AI isn't automatic, it's engineered. Evaluation, testing, validation, and accountability are not optional steps; they are the foundation of responsible adoption.
Realism Creates Impact
AI is probabilistic, imperfect, and evolving; and that's okay. Real progress happens when organizations understand both its strengths and its limits.
Empowering Leaders & Future Generations
I am deeply committed to helping leaders, teams, students, and aspiring technologists understand AI in ways that feel accessible, practical, and empowering.
Innovation With Responsibility
Building intelligent systems means shaping the future. That responsibility requires ethical thinking, thoughtful design, and awareness of societal impact; not just technical excellence.
Think Bigger. Execute Practically
Vision creates direction. Execution creates results. I believe in combining ambitious thinking with grounded implementation, because ideas only matter when they work in the real world.
